Hi, my name is Alia. I’m not going to start by telling you where I went to law school or what my hobbies are. That’s not important right now.

What’s important is that you know what I do and why I do it. I believe that my clients are smart. You know what you want and you know what you need to do to get it done. I believe that clients deserve choice. There may be times when you want a lawyer to handle your legal issue, without the fluff and extra costs. At other times, you may think you could do it on your own. My guess is that you’ve probably spent some time online looking at how you can manage your own legal matters or have spoken to friends and family about how to set yourself and your family up for success. You’ve got a lot of knowledge, but you’d like to get organized and just get it done. You also know that legal fees are expensive and maybe (probably?) you don’t feel like you need to hand over thousands of dollars to a lawyer when you could probably do a lot of things yourself. That’s where I can help. I get it. And that’s why I’ve spent countless days, weeks and months developing this service.

I am a strong proponent of flat fees and DIY legal options and I’m always looking for innovative ways to assist my clients. I believe in being efficient but also providing you with the right tools and knowledge that you need to make the best decisions for yourself and your family. I’ve developed workshops, toolkits, and legal coaching sessions, all designed to provide you with the choice and control to get it done.

Since starting my legal career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in both public and private practice and have considerable experience in family law and wills and estates.

I am a strong proponent of education and I currently teach Legal Administrative Studies at KPU. My passion for education started from my early days at University. I had the opportunity to travel to Kenya, where I and my team developed and delivered workshops to local youth living in the slums.

In case you’re wondering, I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia. During law school, I was selected to partake in the prestigious Bowman Tax Law Moot and had the opportunity to argue at the Federal Court of Canada. See, I told you it wasn’t that important.
